|
PUPPP (Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy is a relatively common benign dermatosis of pregnancy. It generally occurs in primigravidas. Its etiology is unknown. The clinical manifestations include erythematous urticarial papules
and
plaques that begin on the abdomen and spread to involve the buttocks, hips, thighs, legs, and upper inner arms, but facial involvement is rare. We report a case of PUPPP syndrome in a 27 year old primigravid woman.
With conservative treatment, the symptoms resolved two weeks after delivery.
